Foreword

The climate social camp will be held from 25 to 29 July 2022, in Turin. During these five days we will discuss how to take the climate battle forward in the future. We hope that the proposals we come up with will help all movements that care about climate justice. We know that the climate crisis is not something far away; it is already here. Millions of people around the world are experiencing its effects, and they are already actively fighting against the fossil fuel corporations, even if the Western media hide this. We therefore believe that the climate activists of the Global North need to confront each other and figure out how to support the struggles that are being waged away from the eyes of the newspapers, how to involve marginalised communities in their own countries. Otherwise it will be impossible to stop global warming below 1.5 degrees in the short time we have left.
